Steering Wheel Pics

Post by BigBlueF250 »

I have the stock 3 spoke pizza sized wheel in my 69 F250. I want to change it to something a little smaller. I'm not a huge fan of aftermarket steering wheels but I would like to see what other people have in their trucks. I like the 78-86 wheels but they don't fit the hub right. If I ever put a tilt column in it then I'll go that way. Show me what you got

Here's my Grant steering wheel. $29.99 at Pep Boys, plus the installation kit was like $15-$20 I think. I like it :D

And just for fun, a night shot:

Here's a pic of my Grant 838 14.75" diameter with a 3 inch dish.
It's the closest in size and feel to 78-86 sport wheel that I could find.
That's horn button that came with it, I bought one with the old ford V-8 logo, but am going to wait until I finish cleaning up and painting the cab interior before putting on.
I ordered it from Summit Racing

Im currently running a NOS wheel I originally got for my Duster. Its (was) made by a company called Superior preformanc products which was bought out by Grant in the 80's. Its called "The 500". Looks just like the Grant wheels of today, but the SPP wheels had 4 holes in the spokes, the one Grant makes today only have 3 holes. It will do untill I get my new Ford wheel from DC :D

I dont know why the foam looks white in this picture, must be the flash. Its nice & black in real life tho.

14" no power steering = fun to turn at a stand still, thats for sure!!

Hey JoshPow,

Here's the link to the wheel I got from Summit... it is an 832 (my bad) BiggDogg's wheel is an 838
It's less than half the price at Summit than the same wheel was at Shucks.
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku
Here's the horn button that I bought for it. It won't go on until the interior is done.
The last finishing touch so to speak.

I like the GOLD one, but it's hard to go wrong with ANY of these.

No horn button is required, as most people who buy these prefer hand gestures anyway.

Oh, Wait....These only work on CHEBBYs.

Hey Peanutman,

I like yer wheel too... does the hub match up with the column collar ?
The ones I have seen like that that, the hub is larger than the column.
