Hi gang,
We started my truck up for the first time yesterday and came across a little snag. The truck has been apart for about three years and I am finally getting it back together. The truck was a wiring mess from the other owners and wiring the guages. I managed to get everything cleaned up and also added a 40 amp relay on the acc switch so I could run the new electric fuel pump, msd box and the electric water pump. We were getting things ready to fire her up for the first time and went to turn the key to the acc position to prime the fuel pump and the starter kicked in and started turning the motor over. I didn't add any wires to anything other then what was already available with nothing connected to it. I didn't really get a chance yet to diagnose either. Is it something simple? I figure worse case scenerio I will add a starter button which I wouldn't mind having anyway but it would be nice to preserve the factory wiring.

Re: Starter selenoid trigger wire hot at key acc position?
I got it figured out, I printed the wiring diagram available on the site and went out and low and behold the wire was there which was the blue and red one but it had a terminal on it for 3/8" which mislead me to thinking it needed to go on the battery terminal. I got her all fixed up, now on to the rest of the stuff to finish.
