instrument cluster
here is what i am dealing with. i have three clusters. 1 is the original from my 67. but all of the wires on the back of the guage cluster are gone. the second one i have is a 69 dummy ligth cluster. it is complete. the third cluster i have is a 69 guage cluster it is complete. i want to reuse my 67 head becuase of the original miles on the speedo. i don't want to part out the 69 cluster good guage cluster just for the wiring. i don't have any pics right now of the 69 guage cluster back wiring. what i was thinking of doing was using the wiring from the dummy lght cluster to work on the back of the guage cluster. but can i just cut the light bulbs off of the dummy light cluster and put the correct connectors to go onto my guages or will i have to do some repinning of the dummy light wiring to make it work on a guage cluster. if i cant do this i can always use the 69 guage cluster wiring to make my 67 cluster work i just dont want to do that right now. unless i have no real choice. i am looking for origianl with no cuts and splices unless it is easy and can be solderwed and shrink tubed easily. did i explain all of that correctly?

Re: instrument cluster
i may have answered my own question. i think with the proper pin out on the plug i can do it. by just cutting the light socket off and using the correct plug for the 67 cluster and then change around the pins on the cluster plug it should all work fine. any opinions are welcome though.

Re: instrument cluster
You should be able to rewire it to work just fine, but you need to rewire both wires that are for the bulb as they are working on "full 12V" supply to them and the gauges use the voltage supplied by the IPVR. So just hook one of the wires to the sending unit and the other to the IPVR output.
