Those of you with bucket seats, i just got 2 seats from a bronco 2, their in alright condition will probably reupolster, but how did you put them on? I had 2 brackets off a bench seat from a 80s ford, and put a socket to make up for the height, and the seats out of wack so going to have to redo, so how did you guys do it? Send pics too

do you mean it sits in there sideways? did you try using the orginal bot holes? if not did you line up the new hole in with a square to make sure they were straight? or is it something else i'm not thinking of?

you do know that the steering column in these trucks sit at an angle to where they go through the firewall? so that may not be a good way to measure how the seat sits in there. but i can see what your saying. it doesn't look and or feel right. you may have to fudge here abd there to make it work for you.

I've got buckets in my 69. They came from a 99 Econline work van. I used the 99 factory seat brackets (after cutting and re-welding) but they are still to high. I'm using 1/4"x3" steel flat bar to make new brackets now which will lower the buckets to a more comfortable position. You can make most anything fit, just be patience. If you drill new mounting holes use a metal back up plate maybe 2" square or larger. This will give you more strength than just putting a washer under the nut.
