Is there any kind of latching for the backrest of the bech seat? Or is the backrest just held thru its weight in the back position? I am asking because I cannot remember when I dismanteled the truck. I also couldn't find anything about this point in my literature.
Roman, what year is your truck?...Seems we discussed this a while back, and maybe the newer ones ('71-'72) were latched and the older ones were not...Anyway, some of the more technical members could probably post a link to the thread which would probably clarify it for you...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!
you mean does the seat back til tforward with out a latch? if so the answer is it has no latch on the seat back. some seats where bolted down so they coul dnot be lifted forward. but in the later years 71 or 72 they started bolting the seatbacks to the bottoms so that they would not flip forward. here is a link to a thread about it. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... a&start=15
Thanks for your hints.
My truck is 1967 F100 Ranger. Unfortunately the original bench seat has been removed. There is no evidence of a latching at the cab or the bench seat I have. It seems that the back rest can be flapped forward without any restriction.
