Good evening!
Is this box a voltage regulator? And if so, do I need to keep this if I'm going to use a 3G alternator?
Thanks very much!
Robroy
Is this a voltage regulator (photo), and does 3G use it?

Hey KaptnKA S thanks for replying!
If the 3G has an internal regulator that might simplify things a little bit (one less thing to keep track of).
Thanks again,
Robroy

Yes, the 3G is internally regulated.
No, you do not need the piece in your hand if you are using the 3G. Just make sure you keep track of the wiring becasue you are going to want to connect the 3G to the greeen/red stripe wire....

yes that is a electronic voltage regulator. it is a replacement for the factory adjustable type.
