gauges?
none of my gauges work. the speedo and lights are ok. i never really noticed it until today, probably it wasn't on the road until today. duh to me ! anyway, could it be a fuse?

how is the gas gauge? if it seems to not work or is off also it could be the ivpr needs replaced or adjusted. is this the 71? if so the circut board on the back of hte cluster could be bad also.

about half way down the page. it can be adjusted to make the fuel gauge read properly it will also affect the other gauges as well. http://www.fordification.com/fuel-sending-units.htm

The Instrument Panel Voltage Regulator (IPVR, not IVPR) is NOT adjustable.
It's a sealed "can", set to deliver 5 volts to the entire cluster.
The only adjustment on the fuel gauge circuit is the variable resistor and the arm on the sending unit itself.

You can adjust the arm on the sending unit and make it travel further on the variable resistor.

the posts i read said they adjusted the ipvr. unless they wrote in a mistake. i cant believe i just listened to everyone else. and have been giving out the wrong info i guess. i did pick up my cluster sitting besdie me and looked at it. it does have some kind of small knob looking thing on it but not a place for a screw driver. like others mentioned using. i am getting tired of the misinformation thats been posted by others that i never checked out for myself.

? I've adjusted mine. Just took a pair of needle. Nose plyers and turned the little knob thing on the back that fordman was talking about. Now I havent seen hundreds of them but of the 10 or so ive delt with all had this piece and it directly affects the reading of the oil gas and temp gauge.

I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

I'm know I'm WAY late on this post but the IPVR is adjustable. I've adjusted mine. There is a little spot to adjust it on the back. All of my gauges read low and I adjusted them up a little.
