bucket seats
i am considering putting bucket seats in my 1972 f100. i have been to the junkyard and could not find a decent pair of seats in the yard. i looked at some explorers and found some decent seats. now the question is how much work is it to make the explorer seats work rather than the full size truck seats. any help would greatly appreciated. i found many bench seats and 60/40 ones.

Re: bucket seats
I can't answer about the seats, but I see you're fairly new.
I would suggest changing your "handle" to something different than your e-mail addy.
Otherwise, you'll be AMAZED at the number of offers you'll get for free money from an estate in BumF@#! Egypt...

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

Re: bucket seats
any seat fitting into our trucks is goignt o be wheather or not you can use your old seat racks to bolt up to the newer seat. if you cant do that. then you use the new seat tracks and the new seats together. put it in the cab. center it away from the door but in frotn of the steering wheel. leave enough forward and back sliding room. then you will want to look at how high it sits for you. if it needs to go up or down. once you have it figured out how when and where the seats are going to set. fab up some sort of way to attach them to your floor. if you have to put soem blocking in do it. if you need to mod the brackets becasue they are bent do it. if you cant reach the original holes in the floor drill new holes.
and i do think kieth needs to shorten your name because it coems out into the post which makes it hard to read all of it.
