Anyone use LMC's sending unit?

Anyone use LMC's sending unit?
I bought one and installed it and it reads way off. My old one quit but before it did it was accurate. Now when I fill the tank it reads above the full mark and hits empty way early. Not sure if I need to bend the rod alittle or what.
