Re: Resistance readings
Tim, I don't mean to be disrespectful.
Didn't I give you a part number and sources for a replacement for this just a couple of days ago?
Were the prices from those dealers totally outrageous, or what????
Just get the right one and move on!!!

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak
That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

I fired off emails to Green Sales, Miller Obsolete Parts, Sanderson Ford, and Collectors Auto Supply. I have only heard from Miller so far, and they want $35 plus shipping.

Im temped to just order one for a 73 up from NPD.

Re: Resistance readings
Good evening Tim,
The resistor from my 1972 F250 (which was working well when installed) has two coils (resistors) on it: a fat one and a skinny one. Naturally, the fat one puts up less resistance to current than the skinny one does.
The fat one: 1.6 Ohms
The skinny one: 2.3 Ohms
