seatbelts

Has anybody installed the shoulder belts from LMC? If so how hard was it to do?

Mine came from seatbeltsplus.com via re-sale from FORDification member Danno  , but I assume the install is the same regardless where you get them from. It was pretty simple. I'm a big fella, so I had to get extenders  and I replaced the bolts that came with them because the ones that came didn't work.

On a side note, the shoulder belt upgrade is one of my favorites.

Also, check out this thread by seattle67 for other member's experiences:

Hello FastKtm51,

Like Seattle67, I got my shoulder belts from SeatBeltPros.com, and I've been very impressed with them. Their quality is excellent, and they're available in some great colors. Mine are bright yellow!

Also, they have a super nice, simple chrome clasp that's a lot nicer looking than the black plastic clasps a lot of other belts come with, I think.

I can provide photos if you're curious about how these look!

Hey there guys I saw those in the mag to :yt: I was wondering on the upper mount is it a bolt that just screws in or do you got to add a nut behind the pannel. :hmm:

It just screws in. You remove the rubber plug and there is a captive nut back there. You may have to tap the threads like I did. I have never done that before, so my one hour job turned into four or five.

So what did you pick for buckle length and web length? Or did you leave it how it was in the wizard no special order.? Apart from the color.

Good evening Chaseman, thanks for your question!

I picked out the standard buckle and web lengths--I didn't do a custom order. As for how I decided upon this, I think I just guessed! I asked around here before making that order and heard that some other guys had ordered theirs like that, and it worked OK that way for them.

I haven't actually installed my belts yet, but I'm looking forward to that--they're beautiful.

Sweet! Thanks for the quick reply. I'm excited about ordering them , seatbeltpro seems top notch stuff and safe. I'm going for the nice chrome one although I'm sticking with black I don't think i could pull any other color.

Hey Chaseman, you're welcome! And I wish you the best of luck with your new belts. The chrome and black should look great together!

Funny i just came across this thread, I just finished ordering my 3 points from Seatbeltpro's a minute or two ago
I went with black and chrome pull release like Seattle67 did. Nice and safe now...
Total was $167, no custom orders.
