Re: large door pannels
They look like the same size that came in my 71 Sportcustom. It had black vinyl with chrome around it set in a bit.
I know have some metal ones that are also full sized. I bet you have a ranger that has the smaller panels inset.

Re: large door pannels
Joe, yes that was me. It was actually a Suburban, (never drove anything that long, a burb towing a 16' trailer with a long bed F-250 sticking another 1-2 feet out the back). but anyway. The trip went ok till the burb broke down on the way back
. It was late on a Sunday night on a back road in La
. I was actually going to take the Ford off the trailer and put the burb on then tow with with the Ford. That would have made for a long and loud trip because the Ford's top speed is about 45, something up with the C6, and the exhaust is broken right at the Y pipe. Ended up having everything towed, had my mother following me home anyway, so we just continued on in her car.
Problem ended up being the crank position sensor on the burb. Had a shop in Church Point La, do the repair and was able to store the trailer with the truck on it at the towing companie's lot free of charge. Actually great folks, the tow company owner and the repair shop. Paid the $150.00 for the repair/storage for a week, connected the two back together and came the rest of the way home.
Just another story to add the the many this family truck has had.
