another ignition switch question
The blade connector on the side of the switch gives a momentary ground to the case when in the start position... what is connected to this I haven't found a thing that this does on the diagrams. Make me go hmm?

Re: another ignition switch question
possible momentary ground to dash warning lights? Ground to turn the lights on (momentarily) while cranking to let you know they work.

Re: another ignition switch question
It is for the brake warning light along with the oil and temp warning lights on the dash. (If so equipped)
This allows you to see if they are functioning and not burned out when you go to start up.

Re: another ignition switch question
what an incredible night; ignition switch replaced and dash lights fixed (corrosion on rheostat) makes for a huge mental step.
