Explorer emblems

What year did they start putting explorer emblems on the glove box?

the first year they made the explorer. i don't know without looking hwat year the explorer came out. it may have been 72. i may have one of those if you want it. it may be a ranger xlt emblem i am thinking of though.

I have a 70 f100 sport coustom and the glove box has an explorer emblem on it. I have only owned the truck for 6 years and was wondering if someone had added it.

My Explorer is a '72 and I think they did away with the glove box emblem for that year, because mine didn't have one...I bought one on eBay for four bucks and added it 'cuz I think it looked good...

There is a few 72 Explorer Special in my bone yard
