For some reason the flash on my camera makes the black foam look grey. . .

This is in my 68 F100, I bought it used from a friend so I haven't gotten the horn button for it yet, but I was able to paint it to match my other interior stuff, its a Grant Challenger Series... pretty simple, bolts on to an adapter with three bolts and has the horn wiring kit and everything, they have new ones for about 70 bucks at like checker and pep boys and stuff, the adapter kits are sold separately for about 15, they have a chrome one and a matte black one I believe

The aftermarket wheels are typically narrower in diameter than the stock steering wheel. This is a main reason many of us plus size guys do the steering wheel upgrade... so we can steer with are hands and not our gut!
I got mine at Pep Boys I think (about 2 years ago). It was $29, plus $19 for the installation kit

What it boiled down to in my case was striking a balace between several factors. The wheel that came on my truck was probably from a late 70's model vehicle. I added a padded slip on wheel cover to that to get a fatter grip. I prefer the larger wheel grip for my personal use. The wood wheel I added satisfied a couple of requirements for me. I have a F-350 dually so I want to sort of go for a combined old school and new school big rig look. The wood wheel with the fatter grip is a classic for a big rig upgrade. I also plan to use a lot of woodgrain trim in my finished project. So the wheel fit that as well. Also the diameter of the wheel I chose is actually pretty small compared to say the signature series and even most of the challenger series. This gives me a lot more room where I need it most in the cab. As far as the way the truck drives with it......well that takes some getting used to to an extent. But I can say for sure it is an improvement. It wont equal a close ratio steering gearbox upgrade.......but it can sure mimic one for a whole lot less money if you have spent the money making sure the steering in one of these trucks is up to par. The final factor was cost. It didnt cost me nearly as much for the wheel and adapter kit as some other wheels would have cost me. My advice would be to take some time to think out what you eventually want your project to look and drive like and try to balance all the factors involved. Sometimes even a simple change in one of these older trucks can produce a large difference in their driveability or performance.

He is my steering wheel it came with the truck an extra goodie I guess you can say, not bad I looked at it at Autozone and O'Reilly their about $50 bucks so it works for me. The tires are turned thats why the steering wheel is cockied. I got tired of the rusty colored alan screws holding it down so one afternoon I took them off and painted them a nice Rust-oleum Royal Blue . I will be getting a small Transformers Sticker to put over the GT emblem.
