just curious if anyone has taken the speaker grille out of the dash pad an created a metal grill to replace it

i've seen speaker grilles placed over the old one. but i dont think you coudl remove it and replace it. it is just dashpad material with holes drilled through it. so if you cut it out you really cant reintergrate it back into the dash pad. my cab from a f250 2wd has a grille botled or glued down over it. they took part of a floor mat and put that on the dash pad then put a grille over that. i have never looked to see how they did it or what they used to hold it down. i am guessing they glued it on.

You might just be able to get one to fit over the dash pad, but I think it looks real good without the dash pad at all, with the metal speaker grill made into the dash revealed :D.

Doesn't show the speaker grill to well in this pic but I'm sure someone else has a better picture that or I could take on of it tomorrow :thup:.
