OT Air selection switch
How hard is it to find the switch that controls where the air comes out for a 97 F-150?

Re: OT Air selection switch
When you turn the switch to select where you want the air to come out, it doesn't change anything. You get a small amount of air out of all of them, it goes up slightly when you turn the fan on all the way. Would like to know where the best source to find/get a new switch. Thanks.
You every notice how even after you read something it still makes more sense to you vs. everyone else.Doh!

i am not sure abotuthe 97 trucks but the trucks up to 94 with those dial selectors . the dials can go bad. the only two places i know to get them would be from ford or on ebay. or at a junkyard.

Thanks, I kinda figure it would be a dealer only item. Was just wishing/hopping it wouldn't be.

the heater is vacuum controlled system so it may be more just a switch. i have only been able to find the diagram for a 92-96. you might want to see if you have a vac. line come disconnected or maybe have a crack in it.
