69 steering wheel on '72

I know the info is on here, but im not sure where. A '69 PS steering wheel will go right onto a '72 manual steering column correct?

the wheel will go on. butthe horn ring or button wont fit unless you grind off the top end of the 72 shaft.

ahhh man. Hmm. yeah the 69 wheel has a horn ring that needs to stay. So i need to grind some of the column shaft off? oh well no biggy, the truck is at a full blown welding shop after all :D
