Hot cables

ok i looked thru the threads but did not seem to find an answer to my problem. Im still learning electrical so please bear with me. PO installed aftermarket gaugues(dolphin) really nice but im more into the original look. I purchased new dash cluster and figured it wouldnt be so hard to re-wire everything so long as i labeled all cables before cutting. Welllll, I thnk everything went back the way it was supposed to. My blinkers, emerg. flashers, and dash lights work fine. but my guagues took a dump. i am going babanas over trying to figure it out. and one more thing... there is one cable from behind fuse box that is getting SOOOO hot that it melted the coating on it.

what gives? i found a posting that says maybe i grounded something that should not have been grounded. I will check that tonight.
