windshield wipers sticking
When I turn on my wipers, the low speed and high both work. The problem is that they won't turn off unless I turn to the off position, and then twist the knob tward the low speed side about half way from the off position untill the wipers are at the bottom of the windshield, and then I turn the knob to the off position. It's a pain to time it just right to get it to shut off. I've changed out the switch behind the dash with no efect. I can't figure out if it's a grounding problem or what the deal is. Is this a common problem or what? My truck is a 1972 highboy with a 360. Thanks for any help.

Re: windshield wipers sticking
I looked at the wiring diagram on this site and think the problem might be the relay in the windshield wiper motor. Man this site rocks! Anyway if anyone else has any other ideas let me know. I'll be posting if it works out. Thanks

Correct the "Park" function is controlled by a switch in the motor so your problem lies there. Check out this post! http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... or#p418699

Re: windshield wipers sticking
Well I got the motor off tonight, it's a Motorcraft with May 25 72 painted on it. The board was fried inside, and there was no set screw to adjust the contacts like the pic from the link above showed. So I guess I know what I'll be spending my allowance on this week.

Re: windshield wipers sticking
they must of changed to solid state (electronic) control later on, I'm guessing sometime in 70 or 71 maybe???
At least you got it figured out.
