70 or 71 instrument cluster panel into 68 truck
What has to be changed or modified to put a Ranger woodgrain instrument cluster into a 68 truck, as far as connections?

ok from looking at pix my ranger cluster is 1970 only (all metal w/plastic circuit board), I guess I can just unbolt the gas gauge from under the circuit board and bolt into my stock 68 location to see if that fixes my gas gauge problem?

I like to post successfull results so that it shows I appreciate those who take time to help, and this site. I also like to do that so that if others run "searches" like I do alot, it might help them track through their problem? Anyhow, I replaced the stock 68 gauge with a stock 70 gauge and I now have functional fuel gauge. What is really odd is that as soon as it started working, so did my dead turn signals! But only for short while. All the lights, front, rear, dash for blinkers worked. For 2-3 different running sessions and now they're gone again. No blinks at all, anywhere, anyhow. Hazards work. both flasher cans good.
Here is a tip for those removing stock gauge panel intact, pull your column shifter all the way toward the ground and unscrew your stock turn signal stalk and you have access to removing/reinstalling your gauge cluster without any encounters with objects. Just remember to put it back in park or gear before you crank that baby if it doesn't have a neutral safety switch like mine!
