Steering wheel

Post by 71FordF100 »

Greetings All,

I am new to the forum. Just bought a 71 F100, matching numbers 302 and 3 speed tranny, 67K original miles.

Body is great, interior is in need. Consequently my post. Can anyone tell me where I may find a green steering wheel and horn cover. Boxwood green that is. All I have been able to find so far is black.
Thanks!

No one reproduces the green ones, so the only ones you are going to be able to find are old ones and good luck finding one that isnt cracked. I heard you can repair them, but it is a lot of work and takes a LONG time. I have one that I am not using, but it is cracked and Im sure its probably not in much better condition than what you already have. I have seen many in the pick-a-part junkyards, but they are always cracked as well.

you can repair and repaint your old one or you can buy a reproduction and paint it green. ebay may be the only place to find a green horn pad. and you will get lucky if you find one.
