Instrument Panel Questions
I have a '67 F100 Ranger, that is completely stock. A friend of mine just gave me an instrument panel out of a '70 Ranger that he used to have. My guages all work fine, but I'm considering swaping out the panels because the '70 has the wood trim around the edges, and the '67 doesn't. I know it wasn't an option in '67, but I thought it might look good, what is everyones opinion? Wood trim, or stock? Also, the chrome on the panel is pretty rough, I was thinking of using model paint to touch is up. Is that a good idea, or is there something better to use? Should I just leave it alone? Your thoughts, please ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Instrument Panel Questions
you can only change the face o fit. the 70 cluster wont fit or work with the 67 wiring harness. the rest wood grain or not is a personal opinion.
Re: Instrument Panel Questions
yeah, I know the cluster wont work, I was just hoping for some opinions on the woodtrim panel, vs the stock black one

Re: Instrument Panel Questions
Got my vote on woodgrain. What one you like better ?
Re: Instrument Panel Questions
I thought I would like the woodgrain better, but driving to work last week I realized the I prefer the stock black. The carpet and dash pad are both black, and everything else is a cream color. I think the two woodgrain pieces would make it look funny. hmmmm who would've thought?
I hear a lot of peole upgrading to the f600 cluster, what is the differance?

Re: Instrument Panel Questions
plastic vs steel and the F600 clusters come as either white painted or chrome. here is what a chrome one looks like. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... me#p486475
