gauges

I bought a f600 insterment panel and whanted to regauge it with autometer gauges. how do i go from idiot lights to guges in a 1967 f100?
Do i just need to replace sending units or what else needs to be replaced?
any ideas?

change sending units and matching gauges. rewire the alt wiring so it has a shunt in it.

i was thinkin of puting a volt meter in it insted of the alt gauge,thanks for the help
