Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

Does your instrument cluster have full gauges or warning lights?

Re: Need wiring help
Painless is the only one that is the most complete but you still have to use a few connectors from the old harness, it is not cheep... http://www.painlesswiring.com/
others have used an EZ wiring kit and the wire diagrams here on the site and rewired there trucks. http://www.ezwiring.com/

I've got an alternator harness for a 71 with full gauges if you need it.

Re: Need wiring help
that looks like the wrogn plugs on it to work with our trucks. i always thought the 73-79 bed wiring had the same plugs. maybe not.

Re: Need wiring help
I've got one here from a 79, and the plugs are all wrong where the harness connects to the plugs at the firewall.fordman wrote:that looks like the wrogn plugs on it to work with our trucks. i always thought the 73-79 bed wiring had the same plugs. maybe not.
