Seat Belt Holes
Does anyone know where to get rubber hole plugs for the holes in rear floor area for seatbelts? My truck does not have seat belts and when I shipped off cab for acid bath whatever was in there is gone now. Thanks

Re: Seat Belt Holes
I have seen them in LMC and/or Dennis Carpenter.
Cut mine when I installed shoulder belts -- wish I had not.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
The ones Fordman looked up are the ones that go in the back cab wall.
I think you're talking about the small threaded plugs that go in the floorpan at the rear, right?

Re: Seat Belt Holes
if they are in the floor pan he coul dput a bolt in those holes. i think those are threaded and not seen under the seat.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
Fordman, you are correct.
However, if he wants to go back original, I think I have a couple of those plugs.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
They are just little rubber plugs that are made like pipe plugs with a square on the top.
They just pulled right out with no problem.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
Those square-head easy-pull plugs, in my 67, are in different holes than the seat belt anchor holes. My truck had the original anchors, but a few inches away are these other holes, two of them, with the small plugs.
I do not know why they are there -- wiring access? -- but I did consider using them as locations for separate seat belt anchors if I ever went to four-across seating.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
i havent been able to pull those out either without damaging them. the rubber square plugs in the floor are to plug up the bucket seat bracket bolt holes.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
Fordman, that's incorrect, from what I've seen. The holes for the bucket seat brackets are not drilled, but they are marked with a dimple in the sheet metal.fordman wrote:i havent been able to pull those out either without damaging them. the rubber square plugs in the floor are to plug up the bucket seat bracket bolt holes.
I think they are for a center lap belt, as they are just a couple of inches from the standard seat belt mounting holes.

Re: Seat Belt Holes
Fordman, I have to call you on this one. Remember, I'm still in the process of installing my factory bucket seats and doing some other things to my truck. I just went outside and took pictures of mine.fordman wrote:the center lap belt hooks in with the regular belts. the rubber plugs are for the extra bucket seat holes. i wish i had a truck here with no seat i could post a picture.
Here's a picture showing the factory bucket seat bracket bolted in, the seat belt anchor hole, and the other holes we've been discussing:
And here's a picture of the plug removed:
The holes for the bucket seat mounts were marked on the floor with dimples, and I had to drill them out to install the seats.
