Rained here yesterday, got in forrestbump, fired her up, turned on wipers...NOTHING. Than noticed my factory Oil Pressure Gauge was on ZERO. Turn signals weren't working either. Let her warm up than noticed factory Temp Gauge wasn't working too...wtf.
Checked fuses today (not raining) all seemed to be OK but nothing mentioned is working still. Where should I start looking?
Truck info: 2WD, 1970, F250 C/S Ranger XLT with Passenger Car 390 (OEM w/ 360), C6, Power Steering & Brakes. Like ALL 40 year old vehicles, there's evidence that there's been some tampering with wiring from PO but not too bad. All above mentioned things had been working until yesterday's rain.
Appreciate all help guys and gals.

What about your heater switch, charge and fuel indicators? Are they working?forrestbump wrote:Rained here yesterday, got in forrestbump, fired her up, turned on wipers...NOTHING. Re: Windshield Wipers Quit!?
Heater Switch, Fuel Gauge never have worked since I got the Truck in March 2010. Everything else HAS worked until it rained this week.
I'm thinking something shorted out when it got wet. Kind of a spaghetti mass of wiring under dash and I've never been good at auto electrical.
I don't own an OEM meter or any other electrical testing equipment which only proves my fear of all things electrical...boy I am a C/S when it comes to this stuff.
Sure appreciate your reply. I'll start tracing down all wiring in the loom this weekend.
If anybody has any other suggestions, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you!

Re: Windshield Wipers Quit!?
There are copies of the wiring diagrams on here, but before you get started you should go get a digital multimeter, or even an analog one, they can be had for less than twenty bucks nowadays... Or even a test light.
There is a post at the back of your ignition switch that should be hot when you turn the key to acc. or start. Test that first. You may just have a faulty switch... Unless your wiring is really badly butchered. Mine was when I got it, and it took me a while to fix it all. I just recently redid the whole truck...
