Door sill weather stripping

Post by 68FORDJBM »

How does the weather stripping under the door sill attach to the floor/body of the truck? There isn't a clear ridge that the weather stripping attaches to like around the rest of the door

It just lays flat. Then the sill plate screws down over the top of it.

And use a little weatherstrip adhesive to hold it in place.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

It went down nicely after putting it over the rail on the sill plate. Hard as heck to shut the door now? Definetly air tight.

My only mistake after looking back was that I put the weather stripping on well before I ordered the sill plates. So, when the weather stripping went on I didn't know that the rail was on the sill plate so I cut the stripping short of the floor line (sill plate). Now I have two joints instead of one:( Live and learn
