Ranger Seat

Post by locorotc »

Hello all, I have recently obtained a 1968 Ford F100 bench seat, however I am buying a reupholstery kit for the seat so I can redo the seat and make it a Ranger seat. There is only one problem with this the kit says it doesn't contain the ranger buttons. I was wondering if anybody would happen to know where I could obtain a set of these buttons. Thanks a lot, Richard.

Just a thought, are the buttons the same as the dent trucks because there are a few more of those trucks to salvage from.

1973 through 1979 Ford Truck. Our Ford Trucks are referred to as Bumps.

The two terms reference our Bumps as having a convex body line whereas Dents have a concave body line.

Sorry, I don't know if Dents have the Ranger buttons or not.

I don't think the seat buttons are any longer available anywhere - but - I was told that some chevy's also used the same buttons. May be able to find some in a salvage yard.
