Ashtray bumpers
I saw some ashtray bumpers listed in the Dennis Carpenter catalog for the 68-72 trucks. My truck does not have ashtray bumpers, nor can I see anywhere where they might go. Any ideas?

i think they go in the dash at the top of the ashtray area on the dash itself. i tmay be a 70-72 thing for all i know. i cant find any clear pictures on my computer. the guy with the shifter in the ashtray area does show the bumpers in his ashtray area of the dash.

I have a 70 Styleside and there are bumpers, fordman is correct on where they go on the dash.

The ashtray bumper go on the bottom between the screws holding in the track. Just looked at the one on my 69. Seems out of place on the bottom to me but can give a picture of it if you want. look at the bottom of the ashtray, theres a tab sticking up from the bottom for the bumper.

This is in my 68 CS. I even removed the ash tray for this pic., and then put it back. Man I am exhausted from all that work.
