Replacing the instrument bezel
Anyone out there know where I can find information on replacing the instrument bezel and the lens?? I've been searching the site for a couple of hours now and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 1970 F100 Styleside that I'm fixing up, it looks straightforward like you should just be able to take out the front screws but the whole darn intrument panel wants to come with it. Obviously I'm missing something here....thanks!!

yes just remove the screws and the whol ething comes out. once the speedometer cable and wiring plug is detatches fromt he cluster you turn the cluster over and there are 8 screws i think that hold the cluster face to the instrument cluster. the lens will come out once the face is off. then yo ucan replace the face and the lens. other options are to upgrade to a F500 or F600 all metal instrument cluster and panel. if you do a search for F600 you should find pictures of the F600 clusters.

Another thing that helps but is not mandatory, is to remove the two steering column bolts and remove the metal cover between the column and the bezel. This gives you little more room to work with so you won't damage your new bezel.
