If you look to the left of the steering column on the inclined area of the cab floor, you'll notice a knock out plate.
Take it out as that's where your clutch rod will exit the cab into the engine compartment.

Re: Floor pan clutch hole
if the floor pan is original there might be a indentation or a blocking plate you can remove. if the floor pans have been replaced. i dont have any way of measuring for you. i have no cabs here to measure.

The floor pan has been replaced. That is why I have to put a hole in it. If any body has the dimension of the hole so when I Put the grommets in it fits, I would appreciate it. I will work on figuring out the placement.

Measurements to the center of the clutch rod, 19 1/4" off the kickpanel and 1 3/4" off the metal firewall, no insulation.

Re: Floor pan clutch hole
Any chance I could talk you into measuring the length and width of the oval. I could then determine the diameter of the circles so the seal fits correctly.

Re: Floor pan clutch hole
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you as my cab still has the knock out plate in it and it's covered in the factory dum-dum.
The hole measures 1-1/2" from left to right and 2-3/8" from top to bottom.
A better description of it's shape is it's a rounded corner rectangular hole. Because I had to crawl under my dirty, greasy, sloppy old Bump, I couldn't measure the radius of the rounded corners. Good thing is it's a California truck and there's little to no rust, so I'm sure of this dimension.
I might suggest you get the floor cover boot FIRST, than use it as a template BEFORE you cut the necessary hole.

Re: Floor pan clutch hole
Is the 1 3/4" from the seam?
