Hello,
I have a 69 F250 Ranger Camper Special that I bought a month ago. I am the 4th owner. Truck only has 100K on it. The interior is pristine, everything works on the dash, etc. The vinyl dash and the original bench seat has no cracks in the vinyl. What is the best way to treat it at this point? Use a light vinyl approved cleaner to clean the surface, then treat it with a UV protectant/lubricant/moisturizer? I have both Meguiars Ultimate Protectant, Dash and Trim restorer and Armor All Protectant. Is there a better product out there that will be gentle and also protect from UV rays, etc?

I use non alcohol baby oil on my '68 fairlane and it's always nice. The material will absorb it and it's easy to keep a sheen. I took a couple old towels and soaked them, left them sit in the car for a few days and then wiped up the excess. The oil also lifts the dirt in the material and it'll clean up easier.

i'd also use a seat cover. and a windshield blind while it sits not being used.

LIke jamie said use something without alcohol in it. Armor All has alcohol in it and is drying out the vinyl while making it shine to fool the public.

armor all is a terrible thing to do too an old vehicle
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood,some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox,behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame,rear end,rear springs,and rear bumper...
