Recovered seats info share

Post by bjde0b »

I wanted to share some information with others. There is a lot of discussion about carpet and seat covers.

Below you will see a picture of my recovered seat. I got the seat cover from http://www.carandtruckupholstery.com/. They are the same seats you see in NPD but cost less. They will send you actual samples you can feel. All vinyl cost 180, cloth inserts are $200 plus $33 shipping. I paid another $120 for burlap, tight pad for spring protection, cotton and foam. You can see additional pictures at my photobucket link.

My carpet came from stock interiors. Fits excellent On the transmission hump. Better tha what I got from LMC which I will be selling. It has the pattern pressed on the back for where to cut out holes. It was $120 plus shipping.

Thanks for the pic and tip. I am hoping to recover my seat soon but I need to get a couple of mechanical items completed first as the budget is tight. Was the seat cover hard to install? I've heard that some are very tight and almost rip. Also, I wasn't able to access your photobucket link for some reason but I'd love to see your other pics.

Thanks,
Terry

That is a great looking seat! I am going to bookmark their site so when I get to that point I will remember where to go.

Williamwilliam - Where did you get the over-the-hump floor mat? I would really like one of those. Do they come in different colors?

That's a NOS Ford mat. You can read about it here.
