Lighted Gear selector?

Lighted Gear selector?
Is there a way to illuminate the gear selector? Was that a factory option for '69.

As far as I know it was never a option for the 67-72s. Maybe a later dent? you would have to get creative to get it lit up.

You could try drilling holes through the column underneath where the indicator is. Then mount some leds flush with the surface from the inside of the column. Then just hook them up to the dash lights or something similar.
