3 Spoke Steering Wheel
Is there a steering wheel repair for the cracked 3 spoke wheels? Por15 makes a kit for it but dont know of anyone that did it. My spoke wheel has alot cracks on it around the spokes. Its really bad where at middle where the spokes are.

Here's a good video on the technique regardless of what you use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIEM7r_BRw0 There's 2 parts to the video.

JB Weld works well, also. JB Kwik hardens faster than regular JB Weld.

This is a VW site but I don't see why the techniques wouldn't work for any old wheel.

Re: 3 Spoke Steering Wheel
Personally I wouldn't use bondo. But, if shrinking is a problem; it's because it wasn't applied properly. Any product that shrinks as it cures needs to be applied in thin layers allowing each layer to fully cure. After you have built up enough material, you then shape to whatever you're repairing.
