correct horn ring for 67-70 wheels

I have been noticing latly that in some restored 67-70 trucks with horn ring that most are a dull silver color like in the old brouchures. But i have only ever seen bright chrome horn rings in person like the one i bought for my truck. So witch is techicaly the right one to have in 69 rangers?
