1940 Ford steering wheel
Does anyone know if a '40 Ford steering wheel will fit the standard column of a '69 Bump? It's a standard cab truck. I've got a guy who wants to give me one if it will fit. The wheel is in decent shape and complete.

Unfortunately it will not bolt on as the later ones were a splined straight shaft while the early ones are a tapered smooth shaft with a key. Thanks Hawkrod. I'll keep looking for something I like. Maybe I'll get the wheel and resto it just to have or turn a little profit.

You can do a couple things with the '40 steering wheel. You can cut the center out of your wheel and weld it into the '40 wheel. You could also have a machine shop fab an adapter.
