Headliner Trim Question?

Post by FloridaPhil »

The chrome headliner trim in my 1968 Ford Ranger is pitted and nasty. It's way beyond polishing out. What are my options? Having them polished and rechromed sounds pretty expensive. Is it hard to find these parts in good condition? Thanks!

As an alternative you could find a really nice set of the painted style and have that chromed....might be slightly cheaper if you could find an undamaged set.

I had a painted set until I found the Chrome set that I wanted, I used Krylon Paint and Painted it to match my interior Color, they have tons of colors and it came out pretty nice

I took mine 2 weeks ago and got 2 SOS pads, started scrubbing and 45 minutes latter it was looking pretty good.It had a lot of rust on it and came out really good or it can now be painted with no pitts. Try it and see. :D
