Non ford question for the mechanics

Post by towtruckerfour »

I need to change the tranny fluid and filter in our 03 Mitsubishi montero. I've watched a couple YouTube videos on how to do it on other vehicles. Are there any special steps to doing it or is it pretty simple like in the videos. I don't want to screw it up. Thanks for any help

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

I take mine to the local tranny shop. It isn't very expensive and it makes a real mess if you don't have one of those really big drain pans to catch all the fluid. I also like that they tell me if I have any pending problems and take the car for a test drive to make sure it is shifting correctly. Just a thought, of course this is coming from a guy who has a lift and still takes his cars to an oil change place so he doesn't have to deal with recycling the used oil.
