Which C4 is correct for a SWB truck?

Which C4 is correct for a SWB truck?
I have a 302/C4 now with the short tailshaft like in the pic below but this was in a LWB truck with a two piece driveshaft. Which C4 is correct if I want to use it in a SWB with a one piece driveshaft? Does the short tail have the support for a one piece or do I need the longer tail? Im clueless on which was used in what so if anyone has a SWB with a C4 maybe you can enlighten me as to whats in your ride. I may need to scout out a long tail C4 at Carlisle this weekend if so.

You cannot use a 1-piece DL with the bolt-on yoke transmission. You simply need to have a slip joint somewhere.

Crap. Thanks. I kinda thought the one I have wont work but I couldnt find a straight answer as to which is which and why. I see what your saying now. It didnt dawn on me that the longer tail was a slip yoke. That makes sense.

The top photo is from a truck & is a better unit, generally speaking, but you do need a 2 piece shaft

Case fill dipstick C4's for cars, pan fill for trucks. I read somewhere the pan-fill transmissions are a bit stronger(?).

Mine is a truck type like the first pic but that pic isnt my actual one I just yanked it off the internet for illustration. Ill have to check mine but its stored in a dark corner of the garage behind a lot of stuff right now.
