300 3/tree linkage

Post by max03 »

While removing the tired 300 from my 68 f100 for a rebuild I noticed a collar with a metal bushing or bearing race type mechanism on the lefthand rear of the block before the trans, it connects to the shift set up and a bracket to the frame that holds brake lines, I no that's not much of an explanation but I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this and if/where I could find a replacement?

Engine should be ready to be picked up in afew weeks from a normal overhaul and I'm gathering everything for installation but didn't want to install it untill I know it's perfect. Any certain clutch recommendations aswell? Obviously the PO couldn't shift!

Thanks fordification

Sounds like the "Z bar" or bellcrank bushing. Try pages 126/127 in NPD's catalog:
