Anyone have any pointers on good books/DVDs/sources for rebuilding a C6 transmission? I went to amazon and didn't find too much, and the books they had had mixed reviews. If I were to buy ONE book, what should it be?
On a side note, if I were to buy ONE rebuild kit, what should it be? I'm not building a monster truck, just something to haul a small trailer and make dump runs.
Thanks, guys!
Joseph

Re: Good Book for a C6 Rebuild?
Joseph,
I just sold the manual like this for our C-4 trannys last month for twice of what I paid for it!
Had no idea the C-6 version of it had gone up this much too!

I also have a DVD here on rebuilding the C-6-I'll have to dig a little more for the vendor tor it though.

Check out Bad Shoe Productions (Kenneth Collins). He's been a certified Ford mechanic for over 25 years. I have several of his DVD's.

I have the Haynes Techbook for Ford Auto trannies.
http://www.amazon.com/Automatic-Transmi ... s+TechBook
It will take you photographically step by step through teardown and rebuild. I'd recommend it.
