Silverado Seats

Post by marvin2 »

I've seen the write-up on the various Ford seats that fit our trucks, but does anyone know if Silverado seats would fit dimensionally? I understand that floor bolt holes or seat brackets would likely need to be modified, but is the sizing similar (if anyone has looked into this)? I typically do not like the idea of mixing makes, but I like the built in seat belts and the fold down console / seat. Let me know your thoughts or concerns. Thanks!

I don't know but those seats do look like they would be nice. If you do try the conversion post the results,I would be interested in some of those also if they fit.

You know after I saw this post I realized my wife's 2001 f150 has very similar seats to those silverado's in the pic, similar seatbelt configuration and everything. I think some day when I got nothing better to do I might pull them out and see just what it would take to convert them. I'm sure she won't be too happy about me taking her seats out but it might be worth it. Lol.

What you really want to watch for is the depth of the seat back. There isn't much room between the steering wheel and the narrow seat back that came in the trucks originally, and most newer seats are much thicker. So unless you are short and slim, be careful on the depth of the seat. Might be a good idea to pull your stock seat out and slip the other one in and then block it in place. Do you still fit in the truck?
