Mustang Rally Pac in a bump!

Post by Mach428 »

I bought a new Rally Pac and painted it to match my interior. The Mustang and truck have the same diameter steering column so it was a perfect fit to add a clock and tach!!!

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable driving with my dash staring back at me!

I have wondered if this would work. I wish the rally pack was not so costly.

I've seen that before, but I've also seen the cost of both original and reproduction Rallye Pacs.... Not something I'll be doing any time soon, but does look cool.

That looks to be the 1966 Mustang Rally Pac
Looks like it could have been an F-series accessory, fits in there nicely. I like it!

That looks really good in your truck.

Even if one had to buy the rally pac it is still cheaper than building a new panel and then buying autometer gauges, trust me my panel is almost done.

Good evening Mach428,

Thanks so much for posting this photo. I think it looks fabulous, and as though it could have been a factory item for your truck! And I agree with Red403; I'm not aware of any really nice way to add instruments without spending some money. Your truck's interior looks fantastic.

Thanks guys. The Rally Pac was expensive but I think it was worth the investment.

Here's a neat trick for those that don't already know. If you click on the picture to enlarge, you can hold down the "Control" key and turn the thumbwell on your mouse to resize the picture for an extreme closeup!

That's what swap meets are for!!! I picked up a Sport Comp tach for a mere $20! Shop wisely.

HIO Silver...the closest swap meet that I have heard about around here is 3 hours away, each way. By the time you put gas in the truck to go, food, shopping for the wife, any value on your time, the risk that it might or might not work when you get it home, it would be cheaper to order it at cost from my big bro.

I do really like the look of the rally pack and had I seen it first I might have stayed with the factory and a rally pack.
