I have a set of coil springs that came off of my 67.. I am assuming they were the original springs. Truck had a 240-I6 originally, so they should be fine for a small block. No sag or cracks. I replaced them with a pair of Moog variable rate springs and don't need them.
If you need a set, you can have these for the cost of shipping. I'd hate to scrap them if somebody is needing a pair. I'll add a picture if needed

I like to ask how you like the Moog variable rate springs. Do they give a soft ride. I purchased the same springs but have not installed them yet.cold-steel22 wrote:I have a set of coil springs that came off of my 67.. I am assuming they were the original springs. I'm also interested in how these moog variable rate springs handle. I think my original springs need to be replaced.

Re: Coil Springs-used
I wish I could give input on the Moogs. Unfortunately I'm dead in the middle of a frame-off resto. I have more truck parts on the floor than on the frame right now. From what I've read from other members(and what persuaded me to buy them), the variable rates are a good improvement. There are a couple of articles in the brakes/suspension section about them.

Re: Coil Springs-used
This is just input on the Moog. I put a set in my F250 with a 352 (the PO chopped the original springs about 3" to give a poor-man's drop, so the Moogs gave me the original stance back). Personally, I wouldn't call it a smooth ride with the Moogs (after all, it IS a 3/4-ton truck), but it's also not a cement-truck ride, either. I've also never serviced the rear leaf springs, and I think I'd get a better overall ride if I did that. If I had to do it again, I would still go with the Moogs.
