Steeringwheel problem.

Post by amazonsport »

I have a -72 Ford F250, and I wonder if it is normal that the steering wheel is turned to the driver's door a little bit? When you sit behind the wheel, it is about 2-3 cm closer to the dashboard beside the door.
I can not find any adjustment under the dashboard? Is there any?

Yes, the steering wheel is angled. Right side is a bit closer to the dash than the left side.

That's the opposite of what amazonsport was saying.

Yes, it sounds like you're saying the opposite bluef250.
It feels strange to run like this but a thought I have is that it may have been so when you stepped into the car and has pulled in using the wheel? Could it be?

I looked at the diagrams again, I am mistaken. The steering is angled. The LEFT side is closer than the RIGHT side. Sorry for the bad information. See - http://www.fordification.com/tech/images/bb70/p04.gif
