Need help, I decided to get the AM radio back on my 72 F100.

Post by vsanzbajo »

I have an aftermarket tape deck, and I have no clue what I will find when I remove it. What are the chances no one messed with the original brackets? I am looking for the radio brackets and a radio bezel, in case they are gone(I am almost sure they are gone). I already got the radio, I need the extra parts( a bracket and the bezel), please help me find them.
And I also need instructions on how to reinstall the Original AM radio.
I have this bracket pictured, and I have been told I need another one.
Thanks in advance.

You might check in the Parts for Sale to see if someone is parting out a truck. Maybe they have the brackets and bezel, since most people are just looking for the radios. There's also ebay; like it or hate it, you can probably find your brackets/bezel there. For the more adventurous, you can get sheet metal at Home Depot and make your own bracket! If you go to the tech section, you should be able to find a wiring diagram for your radio. Even if someone rewired stuff, it's pretty basic: power to ignition, speakers, ground, antenna.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted,

I got all the parts, I think. Now I need to know how all the brackets and radio fit together. Any pics or illustrations?
