Wanted: I-beam crossmember
my i-beam crossmember was damaged by the previous owner, which led him to sell the car in the first place. I am weighing the options of just doing the crown vic swap, since ill have to go through all the trouble to cut my rivets and remove my crossmember anyways... but I already have a hot rod pickup so I sorta want to keep this one factory original. Has anyone out there pulled their crossmember off for a suspension swap and have that crossmember sitting in the side of their yard taking up space? Let me know!

What part are looking for?
There are 2 I beams!! The cross member is massive. If damaged, the PO really abused the truck.
I will have a F250 cross member soon but its a long way to ship.

Re: Wanted: I-beam crossmember
I am looking for the cross member that the twin i-beams bolt to, the crossmember that is rivited to the frame.
the previous owner drove into a ditch, the crossmember is what stopped the truck... its bent pretty good. (along with the i-beams)

Might be easier to do a complete frame swap.

Re: Wanted: I-beam crossmember
if it's a short bed frame, I have a complete one that's straight and nice. it's still a roller, so hauling would be easier than a bare frame.
