68-72 Left side door lock rod

Post by flyboy2610 »

If anyone is parting out a 68-72 (67 I don't think is the same), I need the door lock rod from the drivers side door. I want to reinstall the door latch to get this door on my truck, but I can't find the lock rod. I could also use the little plastic clip that attaches it to the latch mechanism.
If anyone can help, It would be immensely appreciated. Thanks!

I am sure my '69 parts truck has one. I'll be going to where it is next weekend. If nobody else comes up with one before then, I'll be glad to pull it for you!

Sorry for the delay in replying. If you could do that, that would be great!

I just want to be sure, but what you are looking for is the rod that runs up by the window that the knob screws onto, correct? I'd go look at mine, but it's a '67 and doesn't have the same set up.

Yes, that's the part I need. Thanks again!

My parts truck was missing the lock rod you need. I am going to try to make a trip to the junkyard pretty soon, if you still need one.

You can look when you get to the yard. I hope to get to the U-Pull-It sometime this week myself, but they usually don't have much in the way of bumps.

No worries! Just glad you found one. It seems that everytime I need something specific, my parts truck is missing it!
